Over £500 raised for ABF at Bangor Races!

Updated: Jul 10, 2023

Over £500 was raised in aid of Wrexham mental health and wellbeing charity Advance Brighter Futures (ABF) at Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse recently.

In total, a fantastic £513.96 was raised at the raceday on Wednesday, November 9th, as punters generously made donations in the collection buckets spaced around the racecourse.

ABF has provided mental health and wellbeing support in Wrexham since 1992, and the money raised will go towards supporting people in the local community.

Zoe Whitehead, Business Development Officer at ABF, said: “We’d like to extend a huge thank you to the team at Bangor Races for inviting us along and supporting us with a bucket collection this year. There was a brilliant atmosphere at the racecourse, and everyone was extremely generous with their donations. We’re only a small charity so any donation means the world to us, and the money will go directly to helping local people in our community with their mental health and wellbeing. Our services have been needed more than ever over recent years, and we want to help as many people as we can. These donations will allow us to support more people, so they are really appreciated.”
