Over £600 raised for local mental health charity at Wrexham AFC

Over £600 was raised in aid of Wrexham mental health and wellbeing charity Advance Brighter Futures (ABF) at Wrexham AFC football ground recently.

In total, a fantastic £618 was raised at the match on Tuesday, March 8th, as fans and supporters generously made donations in the collection buckets spaced around the football ground.

ABF has provided mental health and wellbeing support in Wrexham since 1992, and the money raised will go directly towards supporting people in the local community.

Zoe Whitehead, Business Development Officer at ABF, said: “We’d like to thank Wrexham AFC for inviting us along, and also congratulate them on their fantastic win against Boreham Wood.

“There was a great atmosphere all night, and we cannot thank the fans enough for their donations to us. We understand times are hard for most right now, so their generosity blew us away.

“We’re only a small charity, and so the money will go directly to helping local people in our community with their mental health and wellbeing.

“Our services have been needed more than ever over recent months, and we want to help as many people as we can. These donations will allow us to support more people, so they are really appreciated.”
